Spa & South Bay Urban Redevelopment Nearing Completion

The £6.5m redevelopment of the historic Scarborough Spa is nearing completion with the final touches being applied ahead of the relaunch event featuring the world-famous Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra. 

The extensive refurbishment project has seen significant redevelopment including reception areas and offices as well as the upgrading of the communication systems, air conditioning and technical equipment.

EMCE carried out the installation of the new mains power distribution system, small power, data, lighting, door access system and new addressable fire alarm system. A new 1600A Switchboard assembly and Air Circuit Breaker were installed to power the new development. The development also includes the refurbishment of the underground car park with the installation of an extensive conduit system and new non-corrosive lighting throughout.
